Terms of Use.
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the DIRA website, the Malaika community, and our employer services. By using any of them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
01Who we are
DIRA is an Ethiopian initiative connecting skilled women with jobs, income, skills, and community, operating from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Malaika is our free, women-only Telegram community.
02Membership & eligibility
- Malaika is open to women aged 18 and over.
- You agree to provide accurate information when joining and to keep it up to date.
- Membership is personal — accounts and invitations may not be transferred or sold.
03Always free for women
DIRA never charges women for job matching. Membership of Malaika, opportunity posts, and skills content are free — always. Anyone claiming to charge a fee on DIRA's behalf is not affiliated with us; please report them to hello@dira.app.
04Community rules
Malaika is a safe, moderated space. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, or demean any member;
- post scams, pyramid schemes, or unverified "opportunities";
- share another member's personal information without her consent;
- impersonate DIRA, its team, or its partners.
We may remove content or membership, without notice, where these rules are broken.
05Opportunities & employers
We verify opportunities before posting and require pay ranges on every listing. However, the employment relationship is between you and the employer — DIRA is not a party to any employment contract and does not guarantee placement, pay, or working conditions. Employers using our services agree to provide truthful role information, lawful working conditions, and fair, stated pay.
06Content & intellectual property
The DIRA name, wordmark, website design, and original content are owned by DIRA. You may share our public content with attribution. Skills materials are for your personal and professional use, not for resale.
07Disclaimers & liability
Our services are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by Ethiopian law, DIRA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or community, from third-party platforms (such as Telegram), or from decisions made by employers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
08Changes & governing law
We may update these terms as DIRA grows; significant changes will be announced in Malaika and dated at the top of this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa.
